Privacy policy

This notice explains how vantapay, publisher of editorial travel field notes about Lower Saxony and Silver Marsh Germany, processes personal data on https://vantapay.world/. We apply the GDPR (DSGVO) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Last updated 30 August 2026.

Controller

The controller is vantapay, Am Meer 18, 31515 Wunstorf, Niedersachsen, Germany. Email: info@vantapay.world. Telephone: +49 5033 987210. vantapay is a knowledge hub, not a travel agency or shop. Essays on lakes, dikes, flood meadows and oak islands between Steinhuder Meer, the Weser and Dümmer See are editorial. Reading them does not create a travel contract. Privacy requests go to info@vantapay.world or the postal address above.

Categories of data

Most visits need no account. Hosts may log IP address, time, requested URL, referrer, user-agent, language and HTTP status. If you write to info@vantapay.world we process your address, the message and any attachments needed to reply. The seasonal notes form processes the address posted to signup.php. We do not collect payment cards, identity documents or GPS. Contact by email, telephone or a footer messaging link is voluntary.

Purposes and legal bases

We process data to deliver pages on https://vantapay.world/, keep the site secure, answer mail, send notes you requested, and meet German and EU duties. Legal bases under Article 6 GDPR: (b) steps at your request, including a reply or a subscription you started; (f) legitimate interests in a stable editorial site and defence against abuse, balanced against your rights; (a) consent for a subscription or a stored banner preference; (c) legal obligation, including German commercial and tax records where correspondence is business-related. You may object to legitimate-interest processing; we then stop unless compelling grounds or legal claims require otherwise.

Editorial mail

vantapay may send short seasonal notes on water, meadows and quiet roads in northern Germany. An address is optional and is used only for those notes and related service messages. Withdraw consent by writing to info@vantapay.world. Withdrawal does not undo mail already sent.

Stored preferences and cookies

The consent banner can store one browser preference so the notice stays hidden. Details are in the cookie policy. We do not use that preference for advertising profiles. Technical cookies, if any, exist only to deliver the site.

Hosting, logs and recipients

https://vantapay.world/ is served from infrastructure intended for European operation or covered by a GDPR transfer tool. Hosts may process connection data as processors or, for their own security, as independent controllers. Logs are kept days or a few weeks unless an incident requires longer. We do not sell reader lists. Recipients may include hosting, DNS, email and security providers, and public bodies if German law requires. Transfers outside the EEA use an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses. If you use a third-party messenger to reach +49 5033 987210 or info@vantapay.world, that provider’s terms apply to the channel. Linked maps and timetables are outside vantapay’s control. Processor questions: info@vantapay.world.

Retention

Logs follow the host’s short cycle. Email is kept while the matter is open, then for a limited archive. Newsletter addresses remain until you unsubscribe or the list closes. German commercial and tax rules may require longer storage of business letters. When the purpose ends we delete or anonymise data unless a legal hold applies.

No automated decisions

vantapay does not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects under Article 22 GDPR. The field notes are the same for every reader. The cookie_notification value only hides the banner; it does not change the essays you see or assign a marketing score.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, object to legitimate-interest processing, and withdraw consent. Contact info@vantapay.world, vantapay, Am Meer 18, 31515 Wunstorf, Niedersachsen, Germany, or +49 5033 987210. You may complain to a supervisory authority. For vantapay that is typically Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen; you may also use the authority in your EU place of residence or work.

Security, children and updates

We use HTTPS and access control suited to a small publisher. Transmission is never perfectly secure. The field notes are for a general adult readership; we do not collect children’s data for marketing. Updates appear at https://vantapay.world/policy.php. See also the terms of use and cookie policy. Questions: info@vantapay.world.
