Cookie policy

This policy describes browser storage on vantapay, the editorial site at https://vantapay.world/. vantapay publishes travel field notes about Lower Saxony and Silver Marsh Germany. It should be read with the privacy policy. Last updated 30 August 2026.

Who sets storage

The controller is vantapay, Am Meer 18, 31515 Wunstorf, Niedersachsen, Germany. Email: info@vantapay.world. Telephone: +49 5033 987210. German and EU rules on privacy and electronic communications apply, including the GDPR (DSGVO) and the German Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz (TDDDG) where it governs access to your device. vantapay does not run advertising networks on this publication.

What the consent banner does

Pages on vantapay.world show a notice in the element labelled consent-banner. The notice explains that the site stores one preference so the bar can stay hidden. If you choose “Accept all”, the script function allowAllCookies() writes that preference and hides the banner. The banner is also hidden on later visits if a value is already stored. The purpose is convenience and legal transparency, not profiling of readers of the field notes.

The cookie_notification preference

vantapay stores the preference in the browser’s localStorage under the key cookie_notification, not as a classic HTTP cookie. Typical values are “accepted” after you confirm the banner, or “denied” if a decline path is used. Presence of any stored value is enough for the script to keep the banner closed. The key lives on your device for this site origin. vantapay’s servers do not need to receive cookie_notification in order to render the essays. Clearing site data in your browser deletes the key; the banner can then appear again until you set a new choice.

Why this is treated like a cookie

localStorage is similar to a cookie in that it remembers a choice on your device. We describe it here so the name cookie_notification is not a mystery. Legal bases are your consent when you accept the banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, for the strictly necessary act of remembering that the notice was closed, our legitimate interest in not repeating the same bar on every page load (Article 6(1)(f)), within the limits of German device-access law. We do not use cookie_notification to measure marketing campaigns or to follow you onto other websites.

Technical storage we do not control in full

The connection to https://vantapay.world/ may involve short-lived server logs and, depending on the host and your browser, strictly technical cookies needed to deliver HTML, CSS and scripts such as ./build/bundle.js. Those items exist to operate the knowledge hub. vantapay does not add third-party advertising pixels, social plugins that set marketing cookies, or analytics packages that build cross-site profiles. If a future tool of that kind is introduced, this policy and the privacy notice will be updated before it runs for non-essential purposes.

How to change or delete the preference

Use your browser’s site settings for vantapay.world to clear local storage, or delete stored data for this origin. After deletion, reload a page; the consent banner should return. vantapay cannot remotely erase cookie_notification from your device. Questions about storage, including how it relates to personal data, go to info@vantapay.world. You may also write to vantapay, Am Meer 18, 31515 Wunstorf, Niedersachsen, Germany, or call +49 5033 987210.

Relation to other notices

Categories of personal data, retention, international transfers and your GDPR rights — access, erasure, objection, complaint to the Lower Saxony commissioner — are set out in the privacy policy. Conditions for reading the field notes are in the terms of use. This cookie page only explains device storage for vantapay. When our scripts or hosts change, we revise https://vantapay.world/cookies.php.
